The name 'Source' popped into my mind because of the energy given from the sun. It's never enough for me to paint a sun when another image will give the emotion I'm looking for more creatively. In this case the rose is always, to me, a source of affection and grace. Using the rose as the source seemed perfect to me to give the painting that sense of soft, loving energy that powers the waves that soothingly wash the rocks on the shore.
